If you follow that inner voice, and have faith in yourself, it always works out. I'm sure you will do fine. As for the school excursion? Since cutting back on my workload, I always make time for these. I thought I'd hate it, but I love getting to see my daughter interact with her friends, the teachers are always appreciative, and the kids love it. I never got to do it with number one child during the early years (I had to work full-time, as I was the major wage-earner), and I'm sorry I missed it.
